Senior Systems Engineer (Web Operations)
Responsibilities include:
- Assist in keeping website up 24/7 and automate alarms and notifications
- Readiness to travel to data center in case of an emergency
- Install and configure Red Hat Linux and other Linux distributions (e.g. Fedora)
- Configure nfs/LDAP server on Linux
- Manage backup of user data
- Perform update procedures to web site and backend system
- Configure/optimize Postgres, NFS, TOMCAT and JBOSS
Candidate should have the following qualifications:
- Excellent programming skills in JAVA, WEB and scripting
- Experience with JBOSS, TOMCAT, APACHE servers and Postgres Database
- Experience with installing and customizing Hyperic and Nagios is a plus
- Strong problem solving skills and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to learn new and existing scripts
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience
This is a contract position starting immediately.
